mds sdsMike and Starla are the Pastors at Harvest. Together in mid 2007 they helped start Harvest along with Mike’s parents, the late Drs. Dan & Bonnie Sheaffer and his sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Gary King.

Mike began playing the drums and bass guitar in Miami, Oklahoma at the young age of 11 and continues today. During Mike’s lifetime he has spent more than 35 years in senior leadership in the church, including helping oversee the construction of Crossroads Cathedral. Many of those years were spent as the administrator and producing enormous soul winning drama’s. He also spent many years traveling along side his father, Dr. Dan Sheaffer, doing missions work around the world. The country of Malawi, Africa alone has seen more than 3,800 churches built, including one of the nicest Bible Schools on the continent of Africa. More than 1 million people have come to Christ and become a part of the churches that were built. On most missions trips Starla will be found along side Mike in her work boots. Mike and Starla are continuing their missions work in Africa. In 2010 Mike began leading Harvest as pastor.

Starla is the praise and worship leader at Harvest. At an early age Starla began honoring The Lord with her musical talent, growing up in the ministry singing with her mother and father, evangelists, James and Linda Matheson. They were members of First Assembly of God and continued on to Crossroads Cathedral. Starla sang in the choir and the praise and worship team. Today she continues to bless people around the world.

Mike and Starla believe that church should be a place where people encounter Jesus Christ, have their spiritual needs met and when working together, make a difference in our world at home and abroad.
